Personal Reconciliation

The large installation, Personal Reconciliation, attempts to address the thorny issue of being a white, privileged person at the end of Apartheid, and understanding what this entails (despite many years of anti-Apartheid work).

A maze of translucent fabric and thin sheets of plumber’s fibre lead to the inner core, where two amorphous figures face each other. The floor is scattered with shards of white porcelain.
